What is a Torah RPG?

A role-playing game built from the text of the Torah. In Gan Eden you play through Bereshit (Genesis) quest by quest, and the words of Adonai and the people come from the Hebrew, with the verse reference on screen.

Is Gan Eden free?

Yes. It's free to play in your browser, on phone or desktop, with no download and no account.

Is Gan Eden Jewish or Christian?

It's built on the Hebrew text both communities share. It's made for Jewish families, Christians, and Messianic households alike.

Do I need to know Hebrew to play this Bible game?

No. The game is in English. Names stay Hebrew, and Hebrew words and verses appear along the way, so you pick them up as you play.

What age is it for?

It's built for readers roughly age 7 and up playing on their own, or younger with a parent alongside. Each quest runs about 10 to 20 minutes.

Does it have fighting?

Fighting is limited to raiders and beasts. Harder episodes, Sdom among them, are told in the text's own words rather than acted out as combat.

How much of the Torah can I play?

Nine of the twelve portions of Bereshit (Genesis) are playable now, from Bereshit through Vayeshev. Miketz, Vayigash and Vayechi are still to come.

What about Shabbat?

On Erev Shabbat in the game you bring bread and wine to the tent for Kiddush and rest. Play pauses and work stops until Shabbat ends.

Can my kids join the email list?

The list is for adults. Parents, teachers and congregation leaders are welcome to sign up for news about new chapters.
